A great invitation should always give guests a hint of what they can expect from the wedding, and that was certainly true for these lovely clients. Hannah and Tobias’s bespoke stationery, like their two-day wedding celebration, had all the trimmings! Rose gold hot foil, blush letterpress, blind debossed peony illustrations, and a luxurious vellum wrap set the scene for opulent romance, and the big day was this and so much more. It was held at the iconic Marbella Club in Spain, with a floral-filled ceremony at the Villa del Mar. After cocktails and canapes, guests went on to dinner with a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean (and more stunning flowers!). Later that night, they even got to enjoy a special appearance by singer, Lemar! There really is no other way to describe this wedding than spectacular.
I absolutely loved creating all of Hannah and Tobias’s bespoke wedding stationery, but the blind debossed invitations with vellum were my favourite. The main text on the invites was printed in blush letterpress (which perfectly complemented the peony illustrations), while the couple’s names were made to stand out in a lovely script font hot foiled in rose gold. We chose a beautifully thick duplexed card, that was finished with a rose gold gilt edge for a really luxurious touch. Because Hannah and Tobias had chosen to get married in Spain, their custom vellum wrap featured the lyrics to their wedding song in Spanish – isn’t that romantic?
The invitations were finished with a soft, hand-dyed blush silk ribbon by Ofe at Silks by Ollie’s Studio, which was tied into a loose bow. As a final touch, the blush envelopes were hand addressed in calligraphy and finished with a custom monogram rose gold wax seal.
For their on the day stationery, Hannah and Tobias again chose to indulge in all the beautiful luxury finishes to make their guests feel spoiled and treasured. At each place setting, they found a personalised hot foil and letterpress menu, with a rose gold foiled name tag tied with silk ribbon. Each tag had the guests chosen main meal option as a reminder of what they had requested for the wedding breakfast.
Those guests who stayed in the hotel received gorgeous welcome cards with the itinerary in their rooms, also printed with letterpress and hot foil with rose gold gilt edges. Even the toilet signs were pretty – they were printed with the same blush peony illustrations, which tied them in perfectly with the rest of the stationery collection.
Here’s what Hannah had to say about working with me:
“I did a lot of research regarding invite designers before I took the plunge with Jacquie and I’m so glad I did. Our wedding invitations were absolutely perfect – she went above and beyond to create a bespoke design we loved.”
Congratulations Hannah and Tobias on your beautiful day!
