When I saw the pictures from Louise and James’ gorgeous wedding, I have to admit to doing a happy little jig. This beautifully laid-back boho style celebration with earthy tones and loads of foliage and white blooms is right up my street! And what made it even better for this dog lover? A pug! I absolutely loved that the couple included their adorable pup, Minnie, in their big day, along with so many other fun, personal touches, including my agate slice place settings. Even the venue was personal, since North Wales is a favourite family getaway for them. With seventy of their closest family and friends around them (and their little boy to walk his mother down the aisle), they celebrated a wonderful wedding weekend away together that I’m sure won’t soon be forgotten.
With a farm venue amid the stunning natural backdrop of Snowdonia National Park, it was important to Louise and James to keep their décor rustic and organic. They decorated their raw wood tables with lots of brassware and candles, as well as green foliage. To complement the look, they contacted me to create a set of natural agate slices with white calligraphy for the guest names. They looked so pretty sitting on the crisp white napkins, and doubled up as little favours for the guests. And, while my agate slice place settings can work for a variety of wedding styles, I think they’re particularly at home in this elegantly rustic, boho setting.
The guests were spoiled from the minute they arrived, when they were welcomed with strawberry daiquiris, gin and tonics, and beer. Later on, they tucked into delicious beef fillet, stone baked pizzas, and even chocolate brownies for dessert! The children enjoyed running wild around an adjacent field, while the adults danced to the live band and took photos in the horse trailer photo booth. There were even fire pits with marshmallows and sparklers late in the evening!
Luxury agate slice place settings are available in my shop in a variety of different colours, and with either white, silver, gold, or copper ink. You can find them here.
