As featured in Wedding Ideas Magazine and on B.LOVED
Calling all boho wedding lovers! This beautiful bohemian romance styled shoot was created by The Brand Studio to showcase the new branding and concept for Luella’s Bridal last year. The look was a laid-back fusion of barn chic meets Bondi beachy luxe, set against the backdrop of one of my favourite Oxfordshire wedding venues, Primrose Hill Farm. It was a celebration of natural details and textures, which worked perfectly with Luella’s collection of free-spirited gowns. Right up my street! I absolutely love working with texture when creating bespoke wedding stationery. This was the perfect opportunity to dream up something elegant with a fresh, modern style, which incorporated a variety of materials and finishes. I’m in love with the end result, and how it reflects the gorgeous mixed textures of nature in a really sophisticated way.
I started with boho wedding invitations that featured delicate, hand-drawn magnolia illustrations. (These also reflected the new Luella’s branding.) I also added elegant typography and intricate, hand written modern calligraphy, as well as watercolour details. The various elements were printed on to premium pale blush and ivory paper, and of course I also included some dreamy vellum! The invitation was finished with white cord and a champagne coloured metallic rose wax seal.
For the tables, I created menus to match the boho wedding invitations. Also printed on premium ivory paper, these were finished with hand written calligraphy guest names and botanical detailing. In addition, I created a large fabric banner, which made a perfect backdrop. Both these elements worked well with the tablescape design, enhancing the natural details that were used. These included soft linens, earthenware crockery, and recycled glassware, in a palette of soft tones including ivory, gold, and the softest sage green.
As well as the gorgeous tablescape, look out for the effortlessly cool boho floral installation. Taking inspiration from Australian wedding trends, classic English garden roses and sweet peas were mixed with dried palm leaves and grasses. The floral details were also reflected on the rustic buttercream cake.
