Geometric details are one of the White Olive signature styles, so it was a real pleasure to work on wedding day stationery for Nina and Daniel, who love this modern design element as much as I do! The couple had two weddings – one in Poland, and one in the UK. The first had a green and white colour scheme, while the second was a beautiful mix of pink, rose gold, and white. The romantic palette combined with the couple’s modern style made for a stunning combination, especially with the addition of pink Proteas, which were chosen as a nod to the couple’s honeymoon destination of Australia. When the couple contacted me, they had already had their custom acrylic geometric invitations made, but they wanted details cards and wedding day stationery that would complete the look and match their theme. I was very happy to oblige!
To complete the look Nina and Daniel wanted for their invitation ‘package’, I created a details card with a minimal design on blush card with rose gold foiling. I also added geometric gold foiled vellum bellybands to tie everything together and assemble the card to the clear acrylic invitation. The same style was continued for their On the Day wedding stationery, from the menu cards to the table numbers, with the addition of vellum for texture. The matching order of service cards were placed inside clear packets and filled with confetti for guests to shower the newlyweds. The favours were fudge pieces presented in blush boxes with rose gold hot foil detail, and there were also token cards for each guest to receive a personalised bottle of Polish vodka – a family tradition of the bride’s. I also created thank you cards for the both the UK and Polish weddings, featuring a photo of the couple, a coloured card in the main wedding colour (either pink or green) and a personalised foiled vellum overlay.
Bride Nina shared a little bit of her wedding inspiration with me:
“Our theme was modern, geometric, pink, rose gold and white. I like to be unique and everything in our life is modern including our home interiors – it’s good that Danny and I have the same taste in everything! Everything about our wedding was modern, from the decor to the unique King and Queen Proteas, to my wedding dress and food. Pink and rose gold are my favourite colours, plus I wanted white to be included to reflect the colour of my wedding dress. We love anything geometric in style so we made sure this was included where possible in the wedding, like our table centrepieces and stationery. Our acrylic stationery not only formed the basis of our wedding save the dates and invitations but also our guest place names – it felt special to us that we had chosen a unique material to use in our wedding. We hope that with unique choices and including family traditions, our wedding was one to remember!”
Nina was also kind enough to share the following testimonial about her experience working with White Olive Design Studio:
“Jacquie is truly passionate about what she does – assign her a brief and she will make it her own personal challenge to create something beautiful and unique. I already had our acrylic wedding invitations made and asked if Jacquie could design and create an invitation suite to match these invitations – a semi-bespoke design. She didn’t hesitate to give me a call that same day to discuss the requirements and took this away to prepare some fantastic ideas within just a few days. She kept me updated constantly via email throughout the whole process and was so approachable. Nothing was too much trouble.
The design Jacquie created for us was perfect in every way – she is ahead of the game in terms of design and trends and only uses high quality materials, which is reflected in the stunning products that she provides. Her calligraphy work on our wedding envelopes was truly beautiful also.”
