We may be heading into spring, but turning back the clock for a moment, I’m excited to share this stylish festive winter country wedding that took place at the end of last year. Hannah and Andrew got married on 29th December in the gorgeous Cripps Stone Barn in Cheltenham.

I was delighted to be asked by their wedding stylists, Fleur & Fig, to create some beautiful wedding day stationery for this special celebration. The couple imagined an elegant countryside wedding that paid tribute to the holiday season without being too themey, so they chose a palette of burgundy and gold with ivory and nude, and filled the barn with twinkling lights and cozy wintery touches. For the stationery, they wanted lots of berry and gold, with romantic calligraphy to complement the overall elegant style. It looked amazing!

All the Christmas wedding details are making me feel merry all over again, so let’s pour ourselves a cup of eggnog and have a peek, shall we?

I loved creating all the stationery and signage for this wedding. To set the scene, guests were greeted with a welcome sign printed on white board, with gold and burgundy calligraphy, and finished off with fresh winter foliage, roses, and berries. For each place setting, I hand lettered a name tag in gold calligraphy on burgundy cardstock, which was tied to a white cracker with hand dyed silk ribbon. (Isn’t that a darling Christmas wedding detail?) I also created menus for the tables. Each was personalised with a table name and a designated carver for the table, and finished with a gold wax seal.

There were so many lovely winter wedding details! These included a Polaroid guest book table, a s’mores station, and blankets to keep the guests warm. I created handwritten calligraphy signs on burgundy card for each of these, as well as the gift table, and each sign was placed in a gold frame. The venue was filled with evergreen foliage, red and white blooms and berries, including some hanging wreaths. There were also Christmas trees, candles, and an abundance of fairy lights, creating a truly magical setting! The couple made their big entrance driving a classic car.

Congratulations Hannah and Andrew! May all your years together be as merry and bright as your wedding day was!
