One of the best things about my job is that no two days are the same. On Monday I could be creating a bespoke wedding invitation, and on Tuesday I’m working on new branding or corporate event stationery. For example, a little while ago, the lovely Dani of The Curated Kitchen approached me to ask if I could create some beautiful stationery for a launch event showcasing her Mediterranean grazing tables. Dani and I share a love of food and Mediterranean destination weddings – she even has an olive branch as part of her branding! I’ve loved watching Dani’s business grow, so of course, I said yes. Everything, from the launch party invitation right down to the event stationery, had to help tell the story of the brand. I absolutely love how it all turned out!

Dani wanted the invitations to really stand out and make a powerful first impression, as well as set the tone for a festive evening. The idea was to give guests a taste of what they could expect from The Curated Kitchen. For the launch party invitation, I used a deep burgundy premium cardstock and gold foiling. This reflected both Dani’s brand colours and her laid-back luxury aesthetic. The launch party invitation was placed in beautiful luxe envelopes, and personalized with the guest’s name in burgundy calligraphy ink. The envelopes were then attached to white boxes that contained a selection of little treats, and tied with a silk ribbon.

I also created some event stationery pieces for the party itself. To showcase Dani’s focus on Italian-style dining, guests were treated to a grazing table laden with cheeses, charcuterie, artisan breads and crackers, and seasonal produce. I created little calligraphy tags for the dishes, so guests knew what everything was. I also provided handmade cotton rag tags written in burgundy ink for the name tags at each setting. Each tag was hand finished with gold leaf, so each one was unique.

Everything about the event was so cohesive and on-brand, from the décor to the stationery to the favours. And all of it was part of a larger brand narrative, which is such an important part of successful branding! Congratulations to Dani on a successful event, and on picking up the Best Newcomer at the TWIA this January!
