I’m so excited to unveil my brand new customisable house collection today! Meet Sicily, a minimal modern Mediterranean wedding invitation design that’s just perfect for a destination wedding! Just the name ‘Sicily’ evokes an Italian summer to me: long days in the shimmering heat, sparkling waters, and the smell of lemon and olive trees in the air. As the crossroads of the Mediterranean, praised by poets like Homer and Virgil for its extraordinary beauty, the island of Sicily was a fitting inspiration for this modern, minimal but luxurious design for those wanting to keep things a little more subtle for their wedding day stationery.
The invitation is a single-sided design, featuring a simple watercolour olive leaf illustration. Printed on to 350gsm premium paper, the white is reminiscent of the pale stone houses of the island’s southern shore, contrasting beautifully with the text in a lava-stone grey. The Save the Date and invitation cards are finished with a white ink printed vellum layer for a sophisticated, romantic touch.
With this design, you can opt for assembly with a shiny silver fastening, a luxury finish which really pulls the whole look together. I include powder blue envelopes as standard for the Save the Dates, invitation cards, and RSVP cards, but of course you can request a different colour to suit the theme of your Mediterranean destination wedding.
