Have you heard? White Olive Design Studio is hosting Beginners Calligraphy Workshops in Oxfordshire this month, and there are still a few tickets available!
Modern calligraphy has been such an amazing creative outlet for me over the years, and I absolutely love sharing this art form with others. Watching them grow in confidence and fall in love with lettering gives me all the warm fuzzies. That’s why I created my Beginners Calligraphy Kits with video tutorial, which allow you to learn at your own pace. They’re ideal for those who don’t have the time to attend an in-person workshop. But I still get lots of request for these too! So here by popular demand are my first two group calligraphy workshops, to be held in Thame, Oxfordshire, on the 21st and 27th of June. I can’t wait!
So who are these calligraphy workshops for? They’re perfect for anyone who wants to learn the basics of modern calligraphy using a dip pen and ink. In each 90 minute session, we’ll learn about basic calligraphy tools and techniques, including how to create thin and thick strokes, and how to write each letter. I’ll be on hand to guide you and show you the tips and tricks I’ve picked up as a modern calligrapher. You’ll also receive a kit with some of my favourite tools to take home, so you can practice on your own.
One of the things I’m excited about is the two lovely venues I have lined up for these calligraphy workshops in Oxfordshire. The first, Thame Barns Centre, is perfect for a morning workshop (21 June at 10.30am). With its peaceful ambience and pretty surroundings it’s the perfect atmosphere for creative work. There is free parking on-site and in nearby car parks, and refreshments will be provided.
The second venue, The Woodworks, is a gorgeous café in Thame that will be lovely for an evening workshop. It takes place on 27 June at 7pm. Free parking is available in the adjacent car park, and refreshments can be bought from the café on the night.
Places are limited and tickets can be purchased through my shop page. Please note that tickets are non transferable and non refundable.
See you there!
