For the Love of Bees

As you may have noticed by now, I’m a great lover of bees. In fact, one of my favourite things about summer is seeing all the busy workers on our lavender, buddleja, and the other bee-friendly plants we keep in our garden. They’re one of the hardest workers on the...

LAYERS // Layering different textures is one of my LAYERS // Layering different textures is one of my favourite things for an invitation suite!
Premium papers, vellum and those hand finished details to hold the suite together. Wax seals are always a popular option with my brides and silk ribbons add that extra beautiful finish! (Plus they’re available in a whole range of colours for you to have the perfect match for your wedding!)

ASSEMBLY // There are so many ways to assemble you ASSEMBLY // There are so many ways to assemble your wedding invitations and it’s one of my favourite things to design for my clients as it brings everything together!
I’m definitely not into pocketfolds or the typical style of invites and love to combine different materials and textures to complete the whole look of the rest of the suite.
For this invitation suite I used a vellum wrap (as a detail rather than to hold everything together!), a taupe thread wrapped around the suite and held together with a white wax seal with gold leaf embellishments which all worked beautifully with the handmade paper and intricate details on the actual design of the cards.

NEUTRAL // I absolutely love to work with neutral NEUTRAL // I absolutely love to work with neutral tones. One way to break up your invitation suite is by having a different colour for one of your card inserts or with an alternative slightly stronger colour for the envelopes.
Although whites, greys and neutral tones are my thing I almost always have a different coloured envelope to add some depth to the finished suite.
